Wooden beads are great to knit and crochet with. They are light which means that they are easy to wear, and heavily beaded items can be made without them being too heavy or pulling out of shape. The only real issue is that the edges of the beads can be a little sharp and therefore can shred the yarn. However that aside, they are well worth a try.

Crochet jewelry is great fun to make. It is quick to do, and is very satisfying. One of the best things is that it is easy to customize. We have a pattern published here to make this bracelet, however it can be sooooo easily varied to make something completely different. Using bigger or smaller beads will alter the feel of the bracelet, as would working in a different thread or yarn. Smaller beads and a fuzzy yarn such as mohair would make a very striking combination.
